Consider this more of a direct letter than a real update or article, but the importance of this subject can’t be overstated.
I was originally planning to release a substack on what’s known as the RESTRICT Act, but given how much actual footage I intended to share, I decided it would be better suited as a video.
Those who are familiar with the bill call it the “TikTok Ban,” but that’s a misnomer that, I believe, is intended to mislead and distract from the actual dangers of the bill.
There is no hint of hyperbole to say that this is a catastrophic bill that needs to be brought to the mainstream consciousness, and it’s imperative that we raise awareness. So long as it rides under the radar, and is confused with a different Ban TikTok act (Hawley’s No TikTok on United States Devices Act, which is very different), it may very well pass.
Please give this video a watch. Hell, even if you don’t, I understand, but at least give the RESTRICT Act a search — read up on it from more neutral/independent sources.
There’s a reason this bill is being referred to as the PATRIOT Act 2, though I’d argue it’s worse.
